Another new year, another night filled with great excitement, dazzling with beauty and glamour and another three winners. Yes, Pantaloons Femina Miss India (PFMI) 2009, the most prestigious beauty pageant of India just finished. Pooja Chopra, contestant no.15, became Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2009.
Pooja Chopra was trained by pageant coach Ritika Ramtri Kumar of The Tiara Pageant Training and Modelling Academy. Pooja Chopra won Pantaloons Femina Miss India East 2009 on February 17, 2009 in Kolkata. She also won Miss Perfect 10, Miss Catwalk and Nakshatra Miss Sparkling Beauty. An established model Pooja Chopra did several TV commercials including: for Mr Muscle, Big 97 FM, Dabur Honey, Coke (Pakistan) and EZone. Pooja Chopra walked on the ramp for Gitanjali, D’Damas, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Wendell Rodericks, Mihika Mirpuri, and Roberto Cavalli. Prior to Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009, Pooja Chopra participated in few beauty pageants and won titles. In 2007, she became Navy Queen 2007 1st runner up, NDA Queen 2004 1st runner up. Pooja Chopra even did a small role in Fashion. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Fashion stars top Bollywood actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. Famous model Mugdha Godse also launched her acting career with Fashion. In Fashion, Pooja wore wardrobes designed by ace fashion designer Priyanka Rajiv who also designed a saree for Angelina Jolie when she was visiting India.
